Configuring IP Addresses for Industrial-Grade Switches

Industrial switches typically use static IP addresses for reliable network communication, configured via CLI or management software.

Step 1: Prepare the Switch and Network

Ensure the switch is powered on and connected to your computer via the management port or console port using a network or console cable . Gather the default IP address, username, and password for the switch. Step 2: Access the Management Interface

You can configure the switch using either:

• Web-based GUI: Connect to the switch's default IP address in a browser and log in with credentials .
